1957 GRUMMAN HU-16E
AirplanesUSA is proud to present this fabulous airplane to market.
The aircraft underwent a 4 year, impeccable ground up restoration by Aerocrafters in Santa Rosa, CA. All fuel system and hydraulic components were rebuilt or replaced. New engine mounts and overhauled engines, props and accessories installed. Float fuel tanks resealed. All hoses and wiring new firewall forward.
A dual cabin fire suppression was installed. Extensive airframe inspection and refurbishment accomplished, see specs for inspection items.
Paint and interior done in 2000 including recovering of all control surfaces with Stitts process. Extensive radio, navigation and intercom systems installed including completely new instrument panels reconfigured in updated style with master caution and annunciation systems.
Digital fuel flow system is interfaced with GPS systems. Single piece cockpit windows, (2) bubble windows on each side of cabin. All new hardware throughout. Paint and interior done in 2000. Second battery mod, aft cabin reconfiguration. No expense was spared on this project and it shows!
